Double Check My Wiring Please?

Is this compatible with the dongle you mentioned? I hate to tear apart the cabinet to see.

I'm not sure. The thread I linked above is where I learned the info. You might DM the user who wrote about the compatibility.

So yeah two golf cart BB do fit, add the other stuff and it’s a squeeze for sure.

thx for posting. keep an eye on ventilation. i found the batt compartment can get warm if not enough ventilation.

Does it seem like I will have heat issues?

I was reading the Orion XS runs much cooler than previous versions? I’m planning on running it at 40 amps instead of 50.

I contemplated installing a 12v computer fan to force circulation.

Any advice appreciated!

i dont have info on orion. my batt compartment would get warm with all the stuff in there. passive venting helps. fan would help, but maybe your batt does not need it ?

the computer fan is a good idea. I added a 45*C thermistor in series to switch it on if it gets too hot. The thermistor just dangles down between the heat sink fins.

I’ll have to check into that, the Orion XS doesn’t have any heat sink like the previous versions.

Ran everything for a four day camp trip in the Missouri River Breaks and it all worked great. Ran the batteries down as much as I could so on the way home I could monitor temps with the Orion XS actually running at 50amps. The battery box never got over 78 degrees. I’m going to hold off on a fan for now but it might be needed when heading into the heat of summer.

It's not compatible with the dongle because the physical display and the dongle use the same data port. However, no need to tear the cabinet apart.

The dongle is MUCH more useful than the physical display.

It’s been working great! Thanks for the tip!
