I have a 2018 Raven. My tail light on my 2021 Ford F150 Truck goes out when I have the camper plugged in. I pulled the tail light and see that there is a red wire connected to it. I am assuming this might be for the running lights? How do I get my tail light back on?

Also recently the main line from the battery that goes from the engine bay to the camper in the corner of the bed burned off near the exhaust. I had to cut it out and reconnect it moving it away from the exhaust. But.. the tail light issue was the same before the line broke.

Thanks

So both tail lights work but when camper plugged in one or both lights don't work?

It could be that you have a short, break in the wiring that can't supply the load and power is taking the easy way.

This could be a bad ground, loose fitting -connection. Corroded wire connections that the wiring is compromised.

Look at the bulb, socket and wiring back to the camper connection.

Could use a length of wire and bypass wire to the bulb to test existing wiring.

I think it is a short or bad ground when the camper plugged in it can't provide for both
