Dually Extension Brackets and Non-standard Camper Jacks

[SIZE=medium]Hopefully this will help anyone looking to put a FWC on a dually. This might also help someone looking to save a little money by using different jacks than the standard Reico Titan’s. You can get “take offs” for about half the cost if you look around or just ask. I got a set of Happyjack 4150’s from FWC when I picked mine up. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]After some measuring I drew up what I wanted in google sketchup and went to a local fab shop to see what they could do. [/SIZE]

I should of cut the corners off to make it look better but it works. Total cost including paint was $150. I'm thinking I might leave the rear jacks on since my truck is plenty high and I don't think clearance is an issue. I also have to say even with the extension, the camper is pretty stable. much more stable than the last camper I had. The FWC frame is stout!

There have been several threads on extension brackets and I've wondered if anyone has ever tried just bolting a 2x6 or 2x8 across the front of the camper and then bolting the jacks to the board. Not pretty but cheap.

When I got my camper the seller didn't have extension brackets or jacks. He borrowed a set of jacks and mades some plywood extension for the transfer
