Hey All. I recently moved my Hawk from my Dodge Ram to my F150. I tried using the original backing plates but they flexed excessively in the aluminum bed of the F150. I replaced the stock backing plates with much larger 1/4" aluminum backing plates (about 4"x10"). Even then, the aluminum bed on the front brackets seemed like a vulnerable spot. After discovering Mule Expedition F150 brackets on this forum, I purchased them and installed them today. They are absolutely rock-solid, relatively easy to install, and give me great peace of mind. Only available for the front, but I feel pretty good about my rear backing plates.
