Shake down trip is finished. Learned some things still need to be changed. Left Stockton on Saturday morning and drove to MacKerricher state park. Second night Burlington Campground in the redwoods. Final night Van Damme park on the coast. Put the refrigerator on 12 V for the trip up, arrived at 60 degrees in the fridge and a low battery in the camper, something not right. Picked up a 4.99 VOM at Kragen in Fort Bragg found the plug between the truck and camper not working, wired around and recharged the battery. First night found out the stock 2” foam is NO good to sleep on. Next night doubled up the 2” and moved the dinette cushions next to them perfect fit. GREAT improvement with 4” of foam will still add a soft foam topper. Went to Usal beach on 6 miles of dirt and everything stayed tight. The fridge froze things on propane, turned down and will add a fan to equalize the temp. The heater was great the last morning when is just a little cold. Over all a great 4 days in the postage stamp (wife’s term). The dinette worked great, port a potty also. Need to add some more storage cabinets and push lights in the cabinets we have now. No major problems and lots of fun.
