Fixing a bent Rieco/Titan Jack on the cheap

Folks - Purchased a 2001 Grandby and adding Rieco/Titan jacks to the four corners. I found a deal for four mechanical jacks in Clovis, CA for $200. Three are good, one has the inner tube bent. While I can buy a repair kit for $190, the $80 shipping brings the cost to match the price of one new jack. It's a bummer that Rieco only sells the jacks in pairs.

So, it appears the steel tube is proprietary. Curious if anyone has tried cutting out the bent section and welding the column back together. Any other ideas?
