Hey hey i would like to make some brackets that hold a rod vault up by pop-top clamps, anchored using the reico jaxk mounts. Can you nice folks post some pictures of this if you have done this? I would like to see what everyone has done and get me some inspiration.

Thank you!

I made a 10' fly rod carrier out of PVC. I mounted mine on the roof racks
front and rear.It worked great with the roof down, but I had to make sure I
took the rod out if I was was going to use it before I popped the top.

I have mine attached to roof rack and it is a bit inconvenient. Having to remove rods before popping top and than what do you with them when not fishing? You might want to reach out to FWC about the brkts they use to attach awnings to jack mounting brackets. They use these brackets so that the roof lift system can function. Just a thought.

My rod carrier was only used to hold the made up rod while moving from place to place.
I would always brake down the fly rod when finished.Learned the hard way when I snapped
the tip off my 6' bamboo.Live and learn.

I made a rack out of 80/20 aluminum frame that various stuff can be attached to. Pretty convenient.

twice now I have seen rod vaults with the doors swinging open. once on the road and one at a river access. must have been operator error unless the locks are bad.

also did the PVC, I guess depending on the overhang you could put a rod vault there also?

Here is a photo of the rod carrier I made.

Rod with reel slides in and turns to let the reel lock in place. Then I have a nail
through a hole at the back of the PVC to make extra sure the rod doesn't slip out
on bumpy roads.
This worked great for me. I could even get the rod out with the top popped but had
to climb up on the roof steps.

I’ve used aluminum angle, 1” square tubing or a combo depending on what else I have on the jack brackets. It’s been on for 5 years.

When i had my ATC built, i regretted not getting the corner lift mounting brkts to go the full length of each corner. with them there, it really opens up options for attaching things on the sides and back.
