Going to downsize our setup eventually, so up for sale is our 1998 Dodge ram 4 x 4 turbo diesel Cummins 5speed manual transmission. We’ve owned the truck for about 12 years and have done work to bulletproof the engine. The engine has no blow by, it cranks strong and starts immediately every time. I installed a FASS 95gph pick up pump and the VP44 was replaced 5yrs ago along with clutch. Step rails, posi-lok to engage front axle. EDGE JWA installed which is great improvement in drive ability and monitoring temps, pressures and is highly customizable. The setting is strictly on 2 and I do not drive it hard, Thuren heavy duty track bar, steering gear stabilizer, tires have lots of life left.
The camper is a 1999 Northstar 850 SC, pop up. Remote operated power corner jacks. Just replaced waste valves, one of the jack motors, Currently in the process of waterproofing the roof with tropicool silicone paint since the anchoring on the rooftop antenna were not waterproof I just removed the antenna and patched that up. Had the rear lift torsion bar brackets professionally repaired at Pop Top overland and they removed any damaged wood then replaced with epoxy is my understanding of it. I honestly had been neglecting the camper but luckily we don’t get a lot of rain.
We’ve driven to Wisconsin and back to San Diego on this setup and I would not hesitate to get on the road tomorrow and do it again if we had the time and money lol. They are not perfect of course, If we didn’t need to sell, I would at some point replace or rebuild the transmission on the truck or have someone do it if you had to. I would look into fixing the dashboard. Asking 20k both or 14k for truck 7k for camper, I am willing to negotiate but cannot sell truck without selling camper first. Thanks for your time and feel free to ask any questions.
