Hi all been having some issues with my 2024 f 250 not charging the trucks battery properly and was wondering if our new 2024 HAWK should be wired to the BMS terminal instead of directly to the neg post of the battery, so when driving down the road the BMS reads that the truck is charging the camper battery?

I am of little help on the electrical side but did you have the camper installed at a FWC dealer? If so, I would definitely take it back to them. My dealer up in Bozeman, MT did an excellent job wiring my truck (2017 Ford F350) and it only took them about 30 minutes to wire it, install the plug etc.
If you did the install yourself, you might call a dealer and ask them how they wire them. Just a thought.

Yes the camper was dealer installed. I did get a chance to talk to talk to someone at FWC and with the new fords with the newer BMS system the neg side wire of the camper wiring needs to be connected on the BMS and not directly to the main neg post of the battery. Seems like a easy fix, just wish it was done correctly the first time.

2024 F-250 6.8
