Found 2006 Tundra with 17k miles

I found an immaculate 2006 Tundra TRD 4x4 auto with V8, with just 17k miles for $23k. This is full KBB value, so can probably get the price down some. Are there any issues to expected with a vehicle that's been driven so few miles?

New Tundra's are too big, new Tacoma's are $28k - $30. This might be just right.

What do you think?

I like my 06 Tundra access cab. It's easy to park and not overly large. A crew cab could be nice too. The truck has lot's of power when unloaded, it's pretty snappy when accelerating on a on ramp. I've added 'bags and E rated tires to carry a Hawk, which it does fairly well.
I never feel underpowered. Downside is mileage, but that's a trade off.

Probably will be due for new tires, by age, even if they aren't worn down that much yet.

Not sure at what point "lot rot" starts to take effect. Do you know how those 3k miles per year were put on?

From what I understand it was a garage queen and was used for mainly local driving. So if it never got on the highway that's not necessarily good. I guess the more I think about it I would pay a premium because of the miles, but then because of age would need to replace tires, belts, all hoses, full service, etc.

If the miles are local miles and not highway, then it could have been driven often and still have low miles.

How often was the oil changed? Every 5k or every few months? Big difference with this vehicle.

Still, there could be problems and it might not be worth paying top dollar. Give them a lower offer and see if they would come down some.
