SWMBO and I are knocking around the idea of taking advantage of the ATC free delivery offer and mulling over options for a Panther Shell for our '05 4wd Tundra Access. 80% of our camping is in CA and Baja. It would be mostly for sleeping and storage. I'd rather cook outside most of the time while camping.
I figure I can get a small catalytic heater for the few times we head north.
I know for sure we want: Whichever is the easiest to use jacks, Driver's side window like Clark's, Front Slider Window, Roof Rack for the Porta Bote and kayaks, Screen Door por la mosca, Wall Steps to access the boats etc and a 12volt system wired for Solar.
What else do we need ??
Our best time from deciding to go camping to rolling is 20 minutes.

Need or want?

Is a roof vent standard? I'd want one of those. Rear flood lights for sure. I'd get an awning even though they never shade where I'm sitting! Can you upgrade the icebox to a 3 way fridge or better yet a compressor based fridge? I hear you can't go to Baja without a decent fridge in your rig. Curtains and a fire extinguisher (probably standard) would round out my list.

For your truck you might consider an airbag kit from Airlift or Firestone. The campers are lightweight but enough to effect your trucks handling. A $200 airbag kit will dramatically improve the way your Tundra handles with the camper installed.

Hope you can take advantage of ATC's offer. They seem like they would be good folks to do business with.

Sounds like you are leaning to a shell model if you want that drivers side window like Clark has. The rear wall steps are actually better for hanging a garbage bag on and a coat than trying to get something off the roof. I can explain that one better if you give us a call sometime.

A roof vent is standard.

Rear flood lights are handy if you are doing anything behind the truck at night and want to see. For me that was hooking or unhooking the boat most of the time.

The awning is a 50/50 type thing. Some people use them and some people don't. If your not sure about it, don't get it at first. Use the camper for a couple of trips and if you decide an awning would be nice to have, it is a very simple install that can be done at any time.

We are actually starting to offer the Solar systems. I have to get some more information on them this week and I will add them to the web site when we finalize pricing and sizes for them.

The jacks depend on how you plan on using the camper. There are pro's and con's to each type.
