Last time I slept in the over-cab bunk of my pop-up, I woke up sore and stiff. I said it was the last time. Well I just installed a Froli Double Star basic kit under my hard 4" foam mattress. Happy days! What an improvement. Worth the price and wasn't that much effort.
My pop up is a FWC Hawk 80" wide with the extended over-cab double bed. Having only a double size bed is the key to using the Froli system. I don't have the expanding/over lapping pull out board(removed it) required for the queen. If you do, you won't be able to use the Froli system. Read a few posts where it was mentioned the 1-3/4" added spring height would make it hard to close the top. Not so. And the system only adds 10 lbs.
The light blue springs are for my shoulders, the blue with red are for lumbar support. The bed is sleep-able now. Still on the firm side but I wake up refreshed and rested. I have the springs set up so I can sleep with my head on either side.
