I thought this deserved a separate post.
As mentioned in my previous post I found a used camper I was interested in and called Stan immediately to discuss bed drilling locations and hardware. He immediately sent me pics of my exact truck model to give me a ball park idea of how to do it. He then asked me to have the seller measure the locations of the hooks on the prospective camper for more precise placement.
Later in the day while still waiting to hear from the seller, Stan called me and had Chicali (the guru) in his office as it was near the end of the day. Chicali gave me the precise locations for me to place the hooks based on the best guess of year of the camper and where he thought the hooks would be, but said to call him if things differed later. Well, they did. About 6 pm on Friday when the seller called with the measurements, they were different than expected. I rang up Stan, he in turn rang Chicali who was likely at home after a long week, and Chicali passed the new measurements and I was off to the races!
As if that wasn't enough, on Saturday while I was with the seller getting ready to mount the camper, who calls?? Stan, with an "oh by the way" he thought of the night before. He said if I end up buying the truck to watch the valve for the water drain when mounting as they have had problems in the past with them getting smashed while mounting on my model of truck.
What a guy. What timing. Keep in mind he had absolutely nothing to gain from all of this, wasn't selling me a thing, just simply being a good human. I can't thank him and the FWC team enough. Everything went smooth and all of it was due to what Stan took the time out to do for me. Just wanted the board to know and to thank Stan publically. Sorry about the 2 lengthy posts but felt this one was especially worthy!!
