I have been invited on a musk ox hunting trip in the Northwest Territories,
next March.
Sue and I plan to drive our Tascoma, with FWC, 1000 miles north to Inuvik, then make a short left turn then right onto the frozen MacKenzie River, follow the river approximately 90 miles to the Arctic Ocean then drive on the frozen (we Hope) ocean to Tuktoyaktuk. From Tuk I m told it is 140+ miles one way by snow machine to camp.
Many logistics to work out but sure hope we can pull this on off.

i have done the winter drive on the river and arctic ocean once, i still remember the feeling. the ice had completely changed when i drove back.

There was a great article in Overland Mag about arctic travel about a year ago. Discussed all the truck prep, etc.

If its really cold, I wonder if the liner will become brittle?
