Granite Laminate upgrade

After spending a little time in my camper recently I have thought about a ton of upgrades, one of them being my countertops. I called a friend whose husband I have seen do beautiful work in homes before, upgrades and such, and asked if he could do something like laminate countertops which he responded yes. We had planned on a Saturday meet but he called this morning and was off today and we could work on it today. I wolfed my breakfast down and had my coffee to go, and then off to Lowes to pick up a piece of Laminate. We started at 10’ish and finished around 2. It was actually a bit of work. Of course to remove countertops you must remove said countertops which mean removing 3 way fridge to get to screws that hold down countertop over fridge, but wait, to remove fridge you must remove recently installed screen door which is the whole door and frame for it to slide fridge out. The rest wasn’t too intense although I was nervous loosening gas line hookups with that very bendable copper tubing. It is all back together and I have been in numerous times to look at countertop, and praying that I don’t buy the Professors SMEV sink and stove that would look so sweet in my rig, but is above my budget. Here are a few pics.

P.S. Threw in a USB plug while I was having so much fun!

P.S.S. I pretty much have ½ the Laminate left, 25 inches by 8 feet that I will not need. I don’t feel like shipping it but if you are in the Reno area and want your counters to look as cool as mine you can have the remainder for a six pack of good beer.

Just think what they'd look like with your laminate...

Wow they look so dang sleek. I pull the Professor's photo up at least once a day and ponder, but to see them installed!
Dang it I just stared at this photo for five minutes!

My potential apologies to your pocketbook. ;)

You stock sink looks just about as flush in terms of be able to set things partially on/off it when closed so functional likely a wash there. Your stove is raised up so you'd gain some more usable counter space when that was closed up in the sense stuff wouldn't have to be squarely on the lid.
