1st of all, great forum! I'll post later on the 03 Granby I acquired this week.
Question: It appears that the hot water heater (rear drivers) was removed before and not properly re-installed. A gap of about 1/2" exists between the exterior cover plate and the siding. This should fit tight and be sealed. The entire unit has shifted rearward. This can lead to gas exchange, water leakage, etc. Can anyone help me out by explaining the proper procedure to correctly install this unit. Specifically what sealants are used for exterior work such as this? It appears that the unit is held in place using 2 screws into the aluminum camper frame on either side of the unit. No wood blocking was used to keep the unit from shifting laterally as described in the unit's literature.
