I drove a 1960 B 61 Mack with that tri-plex 15 speed transmission.
It's definitely a learning experience.
I was driving for a small company back in 1973 and basically just been given some basic
instructions and sent off on my first haul.Sweet potatoes from Golden Texas.
Very anxious times all the shifting.Fortunately there weren't many hills.

Nothing that complicated but I took the CDF stakeside with a load cement up to Alturas. Nothing like climbing the Adin grade to really learn how to split shift. I also learned why truckers really hate cars slowing them down
