Ok, I need to replace the countertop. I think the previous owner must have fallen on it and it's cracked, etc.

My idea was to use corian but, wow, I can't find any sources. I don't need much and figured installers would have a scrap pile of it sitting around. I think it'd be easier to fab corian than trying to do some laminate.

Any great ideas on what to do? I will need to take the sink and stove out but that's pretty easy I hope.

Hey Kevin,

I am not sure of the vendor, but in my hallmark Milner LX my counter top and sink are molded as one piece. It is a solid type of composite with no laminate on top and looks similar to granite. It's nice because there is no seam where you would normally see one with a separate counter top and drop in sink. This eliminates the possibility of leaks where the sink edge meets the counter top. In addition, there is no trim strip along the edge you normally see with formica type laminated counter tops. Just a nicely molded round edge, which provides for a very clean look. It would appear they come stock with the sink molded into it and then trim to fit the space type of setup. You could call the guys at Hallmark and see who their supplier is.

Hope this helps.

Good Camping,
Paul

Could also check the home big boxes etc. for bathroom counter tops, both molded and not.
