I forget who mentioned it but I purchased one from amazon. Came today. From start to finish the install took twenty minutes. Old anode was gone as I expected.

The only thing most people might not have for the install is a 1 1/8" socket for the adapter. Another 7/8" socket and a 9/16th" wrench rounded out the tools needed. I was surprised how easily the old one came out. The original install used teflon tape. Since I didn't have but did have teflon pipe sealant I used that.

Not much gunk came out of the tank. Pretty clean really. Of course I'll wait till tomorrow to refill the tank and check for leaks.
