Leveling With Scissor Jacks?

We use Go Treads. they fold up so store small, work for leveling great ( have used them many, many times and they have not cracked at all) and they work for snow or mud as treads.

Go Treads certainly look more substantial than the typical Lego style blocks that many of us have tried and hate.

I bought go treads a few years ago. While they don’t break when used as leveling blocks, they do get damaged by heavier vehicles. The plastic deforms where the curved ribs cross when they are folded. I reported this to them and sent photos.

A couple of months later they started selling them for the same price with a rubber sheet intermediate layer to help prevent that damage, i contacted their customer service department asking if they would send me a set free of charge since i had reported the issue. They wanted me to pay $60 for the rubber sheets. I declined, thinking they ought to send the corrective action to me for free. I don’t know how effective the added rubber sheets are at preventing this damage, but I suspect they are effective. I carry other blocks for leveling.

we just got a set (no name... 1/2 price of the Anderson) and tried it out with our new travel trailer. Super easy.
Good to hear. I was taken aback by the price of the Anderson but then again I seem to blow apart a set of legos annually. I did see the less expensive chocks too. Thanks!

In a previous post I said I was very happy with my EZ Jacks. The only problem I had with them was they were very awkward to store. I finally came up with a solution that even helps a little with the aerodynamics of the camper…and keeps the often dirty jacks out of the inside.

That's an interesting idea. Do the jacks work ok in rocky campsites? They sure look convenient for adjusting the height in uneven terrain.

Oh ya, they’re pretty much indestructible, you can use them anywhere. I’ve even combined them with rocks when I needed to get level in really uneven terrain.

Was curious, so looked up how much they cost. Bought my first one in 2006 for $75. Picked up another one in 2008 at the same store and it was $69 ??? No idea what they cost now, but I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth.

I have had good luck using this style levelers easy and this one gives me 6” lift my other set gives me 4” Just roll on roll off!
