Linear Actuator on a pole

I'm having trouble finding old discussions regarding mounting 12V linear actuators on a pole to raise the roof rather than the recent discussions of installed ones like FWC is selling now. Could someone point me in the right direction to search for posts of those type of linear actuator set ups on a pole. All I get when I search is the new fancy type. Thanks
