Since MarkBC mentioned Paisley, Oregon's Mosquito Festival in another thread
it brought to mind one community festival I have always wanted to attend. Fruita, CO is (or more correctly, was) the home to Mike the Headless Chicken, and has an annual celebration every May - Mike's Festival. Something tells me I might do well running like a chicken with its head cut off. I can dance that way. We have visited Fruita a few times but haven't made the festivities. Someday!
