Here are some from the road, saw an older FWC right off the bat! The night shot is from a great campsite on Lake Erie in NY, and another from Erie in Ohio, there is surfing there! We hit some crazy rain in the midwest and had to work out a quick tarp set up late at night but i took a pic in the am. worked pretty well!

Erod, thanks for posting. (I hope you have more pictures to share of the area.)

It rains a lot in the NE, but this year is abnormally wet even for them. Imagine tent camping in that soup?!

Erod, very nice pictures!

When we went to Maine, we saw a ga-zillion "Caution Moose" signs. We did not see even the arse of a moose. Did you actually see any?

Hmm, I like the emergency tarp setup... do you have roof racks, or what did you fasten the tarp to?

Mike

thanks guys, working on getting some more from the girlfriend (she has a much nicer camera and a much better eye for photos). i will continue posting them as i get them...

Looks like a great trip and a loooong one too.

Great pics so far. Glad you two made it back home safely.

So where was the most expensive gas you saw on your cross country trip?

hey all, trying to get some work done today but stoked to be back...kc, i think the most expensive gas was chicago, and the worst traffic!...i use premium and it was around $3.35...pretty sure that was the worst. averaged around $3.05 for the most part but i have to be honest, i stopped keeping track after a while.

here are a couple more photos from my camera. the weather got better as we moved east, when we left mt. it was super hot (90 F +) and the fires were just getting started...once east of rigby, ny. the weather turned cool and moist! heres is a pic of our camp at the surfers beach in OHIO  , one of steely swimming in the atlantic, cape elizabeth in thte background, driving into the fog in me. and another of this really cool camper we saw on the road...more to come, thanks guys!

Erod,

Thanx for posting!! Got any surf shots from the Lake??(that sounds so funny, I had to type it)

I saw a shot towards the top of your report that looked like some surf and one guy out..

You put some miles on your camper!

TT

tom, no one surfing when we were there, however the owner of the area said there were a few guys camped out with surfboards, never saw them though. apparently they get some pretty decent surf, the area is called loula's surfer's camping beach or something to that effect...nice camp though. 5700 mi on the truck and camper, big tour but everything worked great...
