My Growling Engel 45

On our Black Rock Rally my Engel 45 starting growling and groaning!!! Nuts!!! Two years old with little use and 800 bucks!!!! I was not happy.

Got it home and tore it down. Let it run on my bench for a couple days, quiet as anything. Then it started again. I narrowed it down to the cooling fan which appears to be a 12v computer fan. Well, it's not. It is a 24v fan that resembles a computer fan.

I Emailed Engel in Florida and they were very helpful. Got a new fan on the way for $16 shipped to my house.

Hopefully I just got a bad fan. We'll see.

You'd think an expensive fridge like that would have a better/longer warranty...

Got the new fan from Engel yesterday. Wow!!! Fast!!! Got it installed and it seems to be good as new. Great customer service!!!!
