Add in our 131 National Monuments and our prominence rises. The problem is keeping them.

With our 423 total site that's a lot.Yes keeping them is another issue.

I did a count of the number of parks I have visited came up with 37.
Got to some of the harder ones Hawaii/Alaska.
Camped in about half. Fun times though.We are very fortunate in America
to have all the NPs and the public land.Just hope it's there for future generations.

Perhaps of equal importance to us is where the non-private land is and how much of it exits. I am sure parts of the public lands in Nevada are off limits to the public (Area 51?) but that big green patch sure looks impressive!
