Hello,

I just bought a small Palomino Bronco camper for my truck, and it is in really good shape, except for the anchor points where the tie-downs attach to the camper. As you can see below, both the front and back passenger side anchor points are not original (ghetto-plywood style), and are pulling away the floor of the camper, undermining its waterproofedness. The Driver's side ones are original, and less beat up, but seem to be just attached with a washer to the plywood floor of the camper.

I know that I should get spring loaded turnbuckles to ease the load on the camper anchor points going over bumps, but how can I should I go about rebuilding the anchor points? I thought the the corners of the frame would be larger pieces of wood, but they look rather flimsy (you can see them underneath the propane tank and fridge). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. First four show the compromised passenger side anchor points, last two show the original driver's side tie down anchors. Thanks,

*Note I'm not familiar with the camper mentioned and I'm just making some assumptions/suggestions based on the pictures, use your own head if it doesn't sound accurate for the camper.

The plywood on the bottom doesn't look like it was put there to be structural as opposed to spread out the contact point of the anchor on the bottom of the camper.

If you're trying to stick with the same kind of anchoring I'd just make sure the camper plywood is solid still and probably get some larger plates to take the place of the fender washing inside the camper and the plywood outside the camper and use them to make a thicker "sandwich" which would encompass more of the plywood.

Outside that, you could look into mounting it inside the bed like FWC/ATC if that makes sense for the style of camper or bolting through the floor to the truck bed.
