There's ugly, then there's that thing.
As thick as that side opening tailgate is, maybe that's where they put the fuel tank. I wouldn't care to work on the engine with that forward hinged hood, but at least the hood isn't likely to fly up and hit the windshield if someone forgot to latch it properly.
On the plus side, the bed looks plenty deep, the interior should be easy to clean (especially dog hairs), and there is so much room inside the cab one could almost camp inside it without the need for a camper.
With that said, if they wanted to loan me one for a month or two with a custom built FWC, I would be glad to evaluate it while taking copious notes.
