After a good amount of deliberation, we moved pretty quickly a couple of weeks ago on a well-sorted mechanically if cosmetically rough 2007 F250 6.0 King Ranch and a superb condition 2023 Panther Shell. The shell came with the winter insulation package, a furnace, thule tracks, and stove installed - and not much else.
We shook it down last weekend up at crystal here in Washington while a family member visited. 3 adults and a dog in the bed - definitely at capacity but we all slept well. The camper's going to be used 12 months a year supporting ski, bike, hike, and climb trips.
First project is going to be electrical. Our little ecoflow died after about 12 hours of running the furnace in ~20 degree ambient temperatures. Looking at the renogy 50a dual solar/alternator charger, 200ah of lithium, and eventually solar. We'll be powering a fridge, starlink, and a couple of laptops for stints on the road where we still need to do our jobs. This forum has been a wealth of information as I start to plan the build out, and I hope to contribute back the lessons we'll learn along the way!
