The topper had flanges that bolted to side rails in the Tacoma bed, also the topper seals were on the bottom of the topper.Interesting concept. How did your topper stay on the truck between campsites? And how was the front and rear sealed?
You are right once I had my Bobcat I have gone back. Thanks for sharing photos of your old set-up, 57Pan!
I have seen ads for an actuator system like this for raising a topper, but never seen them in action.
I'm guessing that once you got your Bobcat, you never looked back?![]()
I used to have an ‘02 Tacoma TRD with a Snug Top “High Liner shell (topper). It also had flanges to hold the shell in place; if I remember correctly three per side. So from what I understand, you needed to remove them each time you lifted for camping. Were the jacks permanently placed, or did you need to put them in place at each camp? The topper had flanges that bolted to side rails in the Tacoma bed, also the topper seals were on the bottom of the topper.
I only needed to remove 4 Allen head screws to raise topper, I had the linear actuators permanently mounted.I used to have an ‘02 Tacoma TRD with a Snug Top “High Liner shell (topper).
