Packed up and heading back to the Sierra's.(Tues am) This time we are taken our new inflatable kayak (tandem)Will explain why when we return!
Hint: we plan on getting over 40 mpg on this trip

I don't look forward to getting older, but I plan to enjoy as much camping travels in my retirement as you seem to. I'm guessing that 40 MPG will be the result of a small motor on your tandem kayak, unless you've found a way around the first law of thermodynamics!

another Sierra trip!

We are back from another trip to the Sierra's and of course had a great time.
Make me realize how much we like our fwc!(quick to set up or down Great in the rain,wind,bugs,etc.)
As it was a excuse to try out our new toy first pictures explain ,as we were trying to not always haul our hard hull Hobie kayak when we go to the smaller lakes and just want a boat to be able to enjoy the lake,fishing,view's without the hassle of larger hard yak.(sorry Jay we did not get the Hobie inflatable, it would be just a duplicate of what we have and not worth the price)We have had other inflatables in the past and knew that the one we ended up with would do the job and it did!
Also had to show bus that was in Lone Pine!
Pictures are just more of the lakes, trails, fish,flowers etc.and also why we stated the reasons we love our fwc!
(But we did get 38 mpg,i thought we would get 40!)

The moment you mentioned 40mpg I know you are taking the Yaris.
That's one nice yak, how does it do in the water?

Yak Yes!

Alex. one of the reasons we bought the advanced element was that it had a keel of sorts on bottom and it make's it track perfect! On some of our past yaks (inflatable's) with out they tended to drift off a straight course,and with a tandem its work to keep correcting.
Also its a Echo here in the states but a Yaris in Canada,anyway the early ones.(we love the milage!)

whoops, It's Echo.

Good to know the yak works will. There are more than one time I wish I've a yak. But storing a hard yak and cost is keeping me from getting one. This seems to be a good choice.
