So the lower Velcro that attaches to the rubberized wall of my camper is about shot in terms of adhesion, basically flaps around, no longer sticks. I know that ATC sews the top part in but I am wondering if anyone has overcome the lower part needing to be stuck on. I think that between heat, cold and especially condensation, it will just keep giving out, so I am looking for an option.

I thought about putting a strip of fabric on the top of the aluminum frame that is covered with the fuzzy grey stuff, but I am betting clearance when closed would be an issue. I am not interested in having one sewn on the hypalon material it self due to obvious PITA factors and water proofing issues.

The only way I can see doing this is to attach the fabric to the top 1/2 inch or so of the wood paneling near the frame, that way it clears. The Arctic Pak stays on full time, so this will be worth the effort either way.

Just looking to see if anyone has got a creative and yet lo-fi solution to using new Velcro every year which is basically what this boils down to....

Just a thought, haven't tried it, don't know if it will work! What about using a strip of canvas that has the velcro sewn to it and then the canvas secured to the side wall of the camper just below the lip? Use the screws that secure the paneling to hold the canvas. Washers might be used to spread the grip of the screws.
