Random FWC Photos

2M yagi, 2M and 6M loop antennas. One handed pull on a cord to raises the yagi to 6ft. The 2ft leverage arm pins in place and easily removed. It doubles as the support for the 6M loop. A 2M loop is in left corner. I have since replaced the yagi with the 6M loop for even simpler deployment and stays in use while lowered with 3:1 SWR.

Been on this site for a couple years now, but finally got around to buying a fixer upper.

Just picked up this Hawk (maybe early 2000's?). My plan was to gut the inside to make a super lighweight shell, but the stove, sink and even furnace work...so I dont have the heart to rip it all out just yet.

Need to figure out how to straighten out the roof ends that are bending up a bit (left side near the rear appears to have a dent and some sort of black patch over it)

Going to try the 2x4 method I read up on in another thread.

congrats on the camper. Damn, those bends are nasty. Looks to be vigorous effort vs latched down roof, and the winner ... debatable.

haha. Agreed.

I spent about 10 minutes doing the 2x4 method and its looking ''better''. I would like to see the front come down a bit more and I still see a little bit of bowing in the middle section between the two buckles but I can live with that for the time being.

A few weeks ago, Assateague National Seashore, Maryland.
The ocean is just behind the dunes. Wild ponies wander the area.

SLEDAWG what type of floodlight do you have on the back of the camper? Looks like it has good intensity and spread!
Just the regular rear light installed on FWC campers with a bronze lens. I have the exterior lighting LEDs and had the downward lights on too. Long exposure of the shot likely helped too.
Will be writing a trip report on my southern Utah/White Rim Trail run when I get back from my current trip. Best time of the year to travel!
