Getting exhaust from the refrigerator in the camper (hawk) any suggestions as to why and what to do about it?

How can you tell that there's exhaust from the fridge? What does it smell like?
Do you mean that you smell propane? The exhaust itself should be CO2, H2O, and CO -- which don't have a smell...but maybe there's also unburned propane (also odorless, but has the odorant additive).
A propane smell could be some other propane leak.

What year is your camper ?

Do you have a propane sensor in your camper ?

Do you have a carbon monoxide sensor in your camper ?

What size refrigerator ?

(small refrigerator only, or larger refrigerator/freezer) ?

i had the same issue once.

there is a thread here about cleaning the burner. look for it.

you must have a lazy flame and youre getting partial combustion.
