2 Questions:
Later this week I am going to tackle replacing the front lift handle with a sturdier system that mimics the current build(wood). The metal handle on my camper is bent and is really tough to secure. Has anyone done this without replacing the whole lift system(mine does not need replacement)?
I am not sure when they stopped the system that I have. Attached is a picture of what the new system looks like-wood lift mechanism. The white arrows point to where my skimpy metal handle attaches. This does not seem too difficult but would love some input from any others who have done this.
2nd question: The blue arrow points to where the button screws into the wood plank that is attached to the top of the camper. On mine there are a few holes that seem to have stripped out over time. Any suggestions for drilling(dare i say) a sturdy button-attachment to this in order to attach to the wood that will be supporting the lift?
much appreciated.
