Okay I'm a bit behind on the solar but did buy a surflo fan! And here is my questions. I will be cutting out the section that is framed in my roof for my fan, it is CRAZY to think that I could tie ten gauge wire to the 12 V wire that runs from fuse box to said fan, and pull it through slowly to the roof near that exposed 14x14 square, and put a solar plug in that area? Second question is I installed a dual USB plug next to cig lighter insert 12V plug, can I just wire USB into the cig 12V wires?

Depends on how the original wire is ran, if its a straight shot you might be able to, if it takes some turns your chances diminish. I'd look around at some of the rebuilt threads to see what the wire routing looks like.

On the USB plug sure you can, just keep in mind what you're plugging into each if at the same time so you don't exceed the fuse rating OR drop your voltage too low for the products plugging into your outlets.

I knew it was too good of an idea to actually work. I thought to myself that someone on here would have tried this by now and posted their success but also thought, ya never know. I think I will give it a gentle pull here and there and see if things move gently.
