Sorry Kilroy you're right. Bare with us we do occasionally stray.

Guys,
When we we're last at San Ignacio Lagoon we camped at the lagoon just north of the Ejido office/house. There were some who were camping south out on the peninsula but we were north on a bluff over looking the lagoon. You could hear the whales singing all night. Pretty amazing.

As those of you who have been there know its world class wash board from town to the lagoon. We had a tough time even finding the road after the chubascos. Thats why I think its easier to drive out a day before and camp there. But its been a while so I'd like to hear what you guys think.

Brian,
I will be buying that book today. We're off to Tucson in the morning. I enjoy reading on these drives while Pam is abusing the diesel. She loves the power after driving her Scion all week. Its taken a good deal of time for me to read about Viet Nam and I still will not see a war movie. Now I really want to spend a couple of weeks there.

Baja '08?

It sounds like there is a fair amount of interest in putting together a Baja trip. But like Chnlisle and Brian, we also have been planning an overseas trip in January (though not Vietnam like you guys). For us worker bees, convincing the boss to give us back to back multi week vacations may not be realistic. Should we put it off to February of 2009 or is that too far out to plan?

Baja....

I know how you feel Ted. I would be amenable to a later date. Let's see what everyone says. I am retired and my wife only works about 15 or 16 weeks a year, mostly in the summer. We are pretty flexible although we do have a lot of travel stuff in the works as we both have health issues that may slow us up in the indeterminate future. We have a lot to see and do before we get the binders put on us!

Ted, Brian and fellow whale enthusiasts,

I'm 64 so waiting til '09 scares me a bit.... Just kidding but what ever the year if we want to see whales we need to be there Feb through early March. Pam and I have a pretty full plate just now with selling our Oxnard house and moving to Tucson but we're always up for a Baja adventure.

There's so much to coordinate for a Viet Nam trip that it might have to be delayed until we are well settled in to our new digs.

whales....

Jay...

Yeah, I hear you on all accounts...being 63 meself and having done a lot of moving in the last 10 years.....it takes some attention allright.

I haven't gone to not buying green bananas yet, but unlike these youngsters, I ain't cutting too much firewood ahead!

I am thinking however, that I better keep my backpack traveling and my motorcycle touring caught up and then maybe I'll be able to travel with camper long after I have to let go of the rest.
