I will be taking my newly acquired 2005 hawk to Lake Oroville this weekend for my shakedown camping trip. I will plug in my camper at the house the day before I leave to one, get fridge nice and cold (I HAVE A 3.0 FRIDGE!) and two, to top off batteries. My question is in the cabinet there is a red push pull kill switch. Will it matter if it is in the off /on position when plugged in to top off battery?

Pull it out-from what the manuals say that way you charge things up and can use the plug-ins and such at the same time. I didn't pull it out for the first few times i used it & and wondered why the charge went to yellow so fast in camp. Then I read the quick help set up guide word for word and found out what i was doing wrong. If you are using the FWC on the shore to live in and just need the power to use the TV and lights, you don't need to pull it out, but if you are heading into the woods for a while-pull it out! In = off, out = internal power! There are so many things for us not so handy man types to learn about using the FWC, still learning to day!

Yep, pull it out.

If you want the camper battery / batteries to get recharged when you are plugged in to shore power electricity, make sure you have the small master knob pulled out.

:)
