Before last year’s big site “upgrade” I used to be able to sign in using my username and password. I now have to use my email address (much more elaborate to type in). The password manager feature that pops up on my iPad still tries to sign me in using the old system, so not only can I not use that ‘one click’ sign in shortcut, but I had to delete that feature altogether because it kept fighting me trying to sign me in with my username.

I’m sure there is an easy answer to this problem, but being terminally Amish it’s way above my skill level. Any tips will be greatly appreciated, but please speak slowly and use small words when trying to explain it to me 😊.

Thanks
Tom

Tom, my active IT days are long behind me, but I suspect you may need to first close Safari, then go into Settings on the iPad (and I’m assuming you use Safari as your browser) and scroll through the applications area until you see Safari. Click on Safari and scroll to the bottom and click on Advanced. You will see all of your cookies load, and you can do a search for WanderTheWest. When it comes up, delete that cookie, then exit.

When you log back into WTW, you’ll need to enter your email address (no alternative that I’m aware of) and your password. You should see a check box that reads something like Keep Me Logged In. By checking that, you should be able to just click on your bookmark to get right in.

Now that I think of it try deleting your bookmark, then entering the URL and log in before doing the above. Save a new bookmark if you do this and it’s successful.

Remember the advice given on the internet is worth exactly what you paid for it. I’m not 100% sure of my own advice.

I did what you suggested above, and I can now easily log in with just the bookmark as promised (very convenient)…but, after a few days (or maybe so many logins) it logs me out and I have to go through the whole login process again. Am I missing another setting or something?

Please forgive me, I’m much better with a wrench (or hammer), than a keyboard 😊. Thanks for the help.
Tom

My iPad updates itself pretty regularly, not something I have much control over.
Been logging in several Times a day just to get a feel for what’s going on, and the past couple days it’s been throwing me out in less than 24 hours.
