Screen Shot 2013-06-01 at 3.56.15 PM.pngI spent a few hours last night trying to ferret out all the information posted over the years on lift struts. I wanted to post the part numbers and places to purchase separately from those threads in order to consolidate the information. Hopefully this saves somebody time.

These are the 40lb struts and exterior mount brackets for the hawk. Of course you may want stronger struts with a big load on the roof.

My vote goes to Mcmaster-Carr as I could order just about everything I needed from them. I documented what I used in the roof lifter thingy thread.

The ones that are on my 2013 Hawk, factory installed are:
C16-10944. They are 80lb 36" extended. I'm thinking of going with the 100lb 36" extended Supsa springs from this site:
http://www.siraweb.com/p/112/gas-prop-c16-15953

They are the exact same measurements as the 80lb factory installed shocks. Since I'm planning on adding another solar panel on top, approx 20lbs, the stronger shocks should help.
Btw the website above sells everything needed to install the shocks inside your camper if you don't have them.

Anyone know the right shocks for the outside shorter roof (6 feet or less inside, not the new 6'4" height) on a smaller camper? I have a 2007 Falcon and the 35 inch suspas won't fit between the roof latches. Someone with a mid 2000's eagle maybe?

Thanks
