Has anyone tried these lifting swivel eye bolts? I'm upgrading my Home Depot eyebolts.

I did I believe. Got a lot of supplies from McM when I reinforced the whole area around all 4 of the eye bolt attachment areas on my '05 Hawk. Think I got galvanized but I will look into what I purchased this evening when I get home from work.

Any of the forgings on that page would be a good choice. Those labeled "light duty" would make me nervous. Not a fan of those with a bent loop, even those bent and then welded. I used the 1/2" size of these at the front of my bed: http://www.mcmaster.com/#general-purpose-eyebolts/=lqddwb along with the Distorted Thread Locknuts here: http://www.mcmaster.com/#hex-flange-nuts/=lqdfzp

Ah, those are probably over-kill since you shouldn't need them to be self-aligning. A forged loop would be enough.

These are what we use.

Forged Eye Bolt. Zinc Coated.

I have never seen one fail.

Simple, strong, and they work well.
