I have a 2024 Hawk and was wanting to see if there is a specific list of tools you guys might carry just for your camper? I my previous camper (Northern Lite 8.11) I had a small kit of specific tools just for that camper. For example, I carried a ratchet with a 13/16th (I think that was the size) socket in case I needed to take out the drain plug on the water heater.
I have Truma in this camper so obviously do not need that socket but you get the point.
Can you share a list of hand tools you carry? Thanks a lot.

The only tool I didn't have in my usual, basic toolbox is a Robertson screwdriver. I assume FWC still uses these for exterior trim and various other places. I don't remember off hand (and I cannot easily get to it right now), but I think it is a #2. Look at your screws and if they have a square hole instead of a slot, get a Robertson.

I tend to carry a kitchen sink worth of tools and stuff. Heavier and more bulk, but ok with packing it. Never use the stuff but I have it to make life easier if needed.

You might need:
volt meter
duct tape
bailing wire
extra screws that the camper has and tools to remove and install
fuses -truck and camper
Basic hand tools, assortment of wrenches and sockets for truck and camper
screwdrivers - assortment type and sizes
plyers assortment and sizes
Wire cutters and stripers

The list can go on and on. Your options may vary......

I once had to tear down, clean and reassemble a carburetor on my old F-150 when it died in central Idaho near Seafoam Lake, back in the mid 1980's. Lots of other less alarming needs for field repair have popped up over the years. As a result I carry a wide array of tools. So far, so good.

Wd-40, silicon spray, small tube of type of sealer /caulking.

Camped at a place that the bathroom door was squeaking that could wake the dead. Used wd-40 on the door hinges so I could get some sleep.

Great question. I look forward to the suggestions.

The OP's question was about camper specific tools, but I would also be curious about spares and emergency items. The line can be blurry. But maybe those are for separate threads.

I need to spend some quality time in my Hawk conducting an inventory of fasteners etc. and come up with a toolkit.

In addition to some other items mentioned, we also carry two extra turnbuckles, some zip ties, a spare sail switch for the furnace, some extra fuses, and a bicycle floor pump in case the compressor fails.

manuals... for everything. Assortment of wiring crimp connectors and crimper, electrical tape, torque wrench, drill bits, drills, charger, spare batteries for them, saw for clearing brush, spare blade for saw, decent jacks/stand. Bungee cords, hand cleaner, brake clean spray... AND recovery gear.

Going in along a FS road in the PNW I was able to pass under a fallen tree (maybe 12" diameter) that a tall van coming out could not. On my way back out they were still working to clear the obstruction. Somewhat fortuitously, a gentleman coming out at the same time produced a chainsaw and was able to clear the obstruction quickly.

In the PNW you could easily be trapped behind a fallen tree.

Some of those trees can be massive.
