Trailer Question

About two weeks ago I bought an acre of property at Eagle Lake, Calif.I'm pretty excited, I've been trying to grt this lot for about three years. Anyway I plan to build myself a log house next year,in the mean time I want to buy a used travel trailer, about 25 ft. Anybody know which are the best? They all kinda look cheap to me. Come on, tell me, I know somebody here has a trailer nightmare to share with me. Herr 22 as soon as we end this trip, we pay off, don't give up on me.

Are you back on terra firma yet ??. I like the older Airstreams. They use to be the Gold Standard for trailers. Do a search on the web and you will find quite a bit of info. Once in a while you can find really good deals on Craigs List. Alot of the Hollywood types have been restoring the older ones and using them for mobile offices/dressing rooms. Kevin Costner had one done with cherry paneling that looked pretty cool.

There were thousands of FEMA trailers on the US Gov web site http://www.usa.gov/shopping/shopping.shtml but I didn't see any today. Name brand travel trailers for next to nothing. But I'm guessing gas being what it is there are some bargains out there. Especially on 5th wheels.

Gooseneck?

A buddy of mine installed a gooseneck hitch in the bed of his truck and tows a BIG 5th wheel (w/ gooseneck adapter on the trailer). The gooseneck probably won't interfere w/ an FWC. At least, if installed correctly. Worht pondering, maybe.
