TV mounting brackets for a Hawk camper

TV ? In your camper?? You're suppose to be enjoying nature..you can watch TV at home!!

Have any of you Hawk owners come up with a mounting bracket for a 19" flat panel tv?

roughing it.

Trust Deltarat, nobody roughs it better than him. You can tell by how small the microwave is in his camper.;)

A 200mi. extention cord?

He might have to use a generator if he wants to watch the daytona 500.:D

I personally use my laptop for music and movies when out camping.Usually when it rains and I have to be inside though.

So you want to have a tv mounted to leave in the camper? Please show us photos if you get that install done.

The 200 mile extension cord got to be too much of a bother to lug around, so I am now using a small Honda generator.

My trips can last 4 to 5 weeks, so having a tv along is just a bit of luxury.

After giving you a bad time about TV in the camper..here's an easy solution..
If you carry a laptop, USB HDTV receivers are available cheap. I bought mine a couple years ago and it was about $49.00 then. Look on eBay and you'll find them now for around $10.00. Of course, you can also watch DVD's on the laptop. Really no need for a TV in the camper..Do it all with your laptop.

Unless you have no laptop...then this could be an option.

I mean...how else are you going to watch your camping DVDs?

Out Of Curosity

I took a tape out to my Granby to try to figure out where I could mount a 19" flat panel, well, I couldn't find one. Please post pictures of your install, I might want one too.

With my wife, everyday is Valentine's Day.:p

Leadsled, not only can I see the need for a tv with trips like that, I'm completely envious of you.

tv

Well, I do have a laptop with me, so I will consider the usb unit.

I already have a Toshiba 19" flat panel tv with built-in dvd player. When I run it with my inverter, it only draws 40 watts....so I think it is a better solution than buying a 12 tv/dvd player.

I am eyeballing a mount that might work.

I spoke with Chicali at Four Wheel Campers and he too is trying to figure out a mount for a flat panel tv. He has kids and says a tv is a necessity.

Too bad TV is seen as needed. Seems like there are alternatives, but then I put a microwave in my fwc:eek:
