Two questions about repairs (minor)

Below are two photos of damage to my Hawk door that I just noticed. I'm not sure when this happened and why I didn't notice until I started getting the camper ready for an upcoming trip. I'm guessing someone tried to break in, since there's a hole in the door and the topmost section of the hinge is bent toward the door. Not sure how else this could have happened, although the camper and truck were out of my possession for about two months while an acquaintance of mine did some truck repairs.

The door opens and closes fine. Should I just fill the cracks with butyl tape or an RV sealant to keep water out?

The next question is more minor. There is a piece of trim that supports the dinette seat that has lost the screw and eyelet at one end. Is there something special about the beige-headed screws that FWC uses in the interior? Does anyone know where to get an eyelet (not sure what else to call it) like that? I was thinking of just poaching a screw and eyelet from the middle of this piece of wood and moving it to the end.

Thank you !!

In regards to the screw and finish washer (eyelet). Take one out. Do you have a local hardware store? Have them help you get a match. The screw will not have a beige colored head. Put it in a place that doesn't matter. The camper companies buy big boxes of these colored screws. I have a couple of handfuls here of different lengths.

Regarding the door and its trim: from the photos, this looks like someone backed the truck and camper into something.

Btw, nothing special about those particular screws. I’ve used whatever I’ve had on hand to make repairs and upgrades.

Yes.

Door crack - use duct tape to keep moisture out.
Screw is a colored flat head 3/4 #8 screw. Any equivalent will work. The round thingy it goes into is a #8 finishing washer.

I agree it looks like someone had an oopsie while driving; it's just that it hasn't been driven at all for a while. I guess it will remain a mystery.

In a few years you may have plenty of dings, dents and other things. Consider them good starting subjects for war stories.

We got our 4W camper new in January of 2020. behind the paneling, under the water pump I found a plastic top to a spray paint can that was filled with almost a cup of screws, finish washers and minor bits of hardware, including a torx head bit that fit the screws. Seemed like a 'left behind at the end of the day' thing. I always appreciated the finish assembler that gifted them to me. I have dipped into that stash a few times to find matching finish screws.

Those washers are called "pick nits" any ACE hardware or the like should have them in that aisle of a zillion things in trays. If you wan to match the beige screws, try a hobby shop for a small bottle of paint. That used to be made by Testors... but my memory could be faded by "that glue." Hehe.
