I've got to say, I've never seen that and I'm a little embarrassed (I am a registered electrical engineer). Thanks for the education. Any idea of what type of wire FWC normally uses in their builds and if it matches the insulation ratings? It's been a few years since I've mucked about with the wiring in there.
I mentioned I'm using #4, and it is marine grade stranded for the feed from the engine and did confirm it has a 105deg rated jacket. I plan on cutting down the wire length of the tail coming out of the camper to make the camper wiring as short as possible as well.
