Ultimate Battery Thread

I've got to say, I've never seen that and I'm a little embarrassed (I am a registered electrical engineer). Thanks for the education. Any idea of what type of wire FWC normally uses in their builds and if it matches the insulation ratings? It's been a few years since I've mucked about with the wiring in there.

I mentioned I'm using #4, and it is marine grade stranded for the feed from the engine and did confirm it has a 105deg rated jacket. I plan on cutting down the wire length of the tail coming out of the camper to make the camper wiring as short as possible as well.

I am also a 'recovering EE', but back when I was a practicing EE I considered 3.3v at 200mA 'high power', so I never really thought about insulation ratings until I started mucking around with campers.

I actually don't know what the rating is on the FWC wiring, but given the somewhat poor quality of the rest of the electrical work, it may be 90C THHN wire they picked up at the local home depot. I do know that it is neither tinned, nor fine stranded. But even so, it would be more than OK for 35A.

LOL - I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum of EE. I spend my days on things in the 69kv-500kV areas. Thanks again for the thoughts!
