What were your observations? does it look like the modifications compromise the structure?

I assumed he narrowed it to fit newer model pickup trucks. I personally don't like his choice of material, I'd have went with a better grade of plywood. Not sure if that OSB is exterior rated. That said, if the canvas and rest of the camper is half decent, $1000 seems like a good price. It would be an easy enough project to replace the OSB board. JMHO

New here so I don't want to dog someone else's camper. Anyone who wants to PM me is welcome to. If I had bought it first thing would have been to replace the whole tub. Seller said she cut out the original structure so it wouldn't interfere with the wheel wells of her Ram 3500. Rear roof support had a little rot. The floor seemed sort of solid but she didn't want me entering the camper so I never raised the roof to see the canvas. What I could see was there. Even if the floor was perfectly solid I wasn't sure it was attached to anything. I know Hawks are sought after so maybe $1k is a great deal but I personally would have been disappointed if I had driven more than the 45 miles I drove to get there. Next guy might be doing cartwheels when he sees it. Really, I don't know. It was a nice day for a drive, my dogs got to go swimming at a nearby lake, and I got to see more of how a Hawk is put together than I was expecting to so it was a afternoon well spent.
The lady was very nice and had converted a cargo trailer into her new rig which is why she said she's selling the Hawk.
