Wildfire status website

I have a 5 day trip to Montana on my schedule for next week.

Unfortunately the area I plan on travelling through and the area where I'm headed to are under a fire emergency as declared by the Montana governor. I'm not cancelling my trip yet but I am working on a backup itinerary.

I have a link I wanted to share to the National Fire Center that lists current fire information and local info contact numbers - Wildfire Watch.

I had similar problems last summer, traveling around fires and that website was very helpful for making a Plan B to my routes. Just thought I'd post up the link for anyone who is in the planning stages of a trip to areas that are highly susceptible to wildfires.

That is a great resource. Here is another for when your plans take you to Colorado. It lists all the fire restrictions by area.
