Hello. Could I get a sanity check on this wiring diagram? I was planning to just upgrade from AGM to LiFePO but then decided to also upgrade the ATC installed PWM to a Victron 100/30 MPPT and run a port for a portable panel (in parallel) and now thinking I should "do it all" and install a DCDC (thinking Victron 12-18). Thanks!

That's a great start. I would up the fuse going to the camper batt's from the MPPT. You have a 20A in there, and the MPPT can output up to 30A. 40A would make more sense to me. And it seem you want to use the chassis as the ground path. I wouldn't do that. Run another wire for the ground all the way from the engine back to the camper. The +ve run to the truck engine should also have two fuses/breakers... one close to the truck batteries and the other shortly after your Plug and before the DCDC.

By the way, the DCDC can/should be the non-isolated version. The isolated version is intended for marine applications.

Thanks, Vic. Apologies for being dense but then where does ATC ground the camper? The running lights? We had only two connection points: the SAE plug to the engine through the isolator (which I plan to remove and ATC ran as in my diagram above) and then another SAE plug for the running lights connection at the truck taillight.

My understanding isolated DCDC is the "safer" version regardless of a required isolated or a non isolated setup.

Thanks again.

Why is that? The truck is the source of the power and a DCDC doesn’t backflow, what is the second fuse protecting?
