I put a new master cylinder in the CJ5 today. I suited up in my coveralls. I'm not going to get a nice shirt and pants all dirty. This time. Get all cleaned up and I touch my hair. Full of oily stuff. Grrrrr. Anyone have a way to keep their hair clean short of working on a lift? I also put on a battery disconnect on the other Jeep since I've never been able to find the source of the drain.

I'm also thinking its time to take the camper off. Time to repaint/seal the overhang and generally do a thorough inspection.

A little maintenance goes along way. Just take your time and do alittle each day, before you know it, all done. Besides, who's going to do it for you and how much would it cost. A little grease in the hair doesn't hurt anything, just adds more character !

After a lifetime of getting my hair all greasy or ruining perfectly good hats, I finally got smart and bought several cheap stocking caps at the local surplus store. They keep grease out of my hair and ears, hold my reading glasses in place while in awkward positions, and if they don’t get perfectly clean when I wash them with my coveys…who cares!

I keep my hair short and just peek in the mirror to see if I need a shower or a washcloth. YMMV. :)

This all reminds me of a story from my childhood. One of my older brothers was sweet on this really really beautiful girl. He'd do anything, anything to be around her, even rebuild and put a bigger engine in her Camero. He got the job done. Worked his butt off. Did a great job on the car. After proudly showing off the project to her, she looked at his hands and said, "Can't you clean that grease off your fingernails better than that?"

I would have been done with her right then, but I was just a dumb younger brother.
