Hello All,
My wife and I would like to get a truck camper for our F150 5.5ft bed that has 1526 lbs. of payload capacity. The Raven model seems like a good choice. The problem is we live in Ohio. The dealer in eastern PA is supposed to be getting one in March. However, that is a 7 hour drive one way for us.
Is there anyone with a Raven in our around Columbus Ohio that wouldn't mind showing it to my wife and I before we decide to place an order? We would be happy to drive 3 or 4 hours one way and make a day trip out of it. I hate to order one site unseen.
Also if you have any other recommendations on campers in a similar weight range that would be great! We really want to stick to the max payload of the truck including the weight of the camper, cargo, and occupants. We also want something that is dust tight.
We went to Wyoming last year for hiking/fishing and stayed in a hotel. The problem was that trails we were going to were two hours away from the hotel and driving was eating up the day. I will be retiring soon and we want to continue wandering the west, hopefully in a truck camper.
Thanks!
Don.
